1 तब शूही बिल्दद ने कहा,
1 Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,
2 प्रभुता करना और डराना यह उसी का काम है; वह अपने ऊंचे ऊंचे स्थानों में शान्ति रखता है।
2 Dominion and fear are with him, he maketh peace in his high places.
3 क्या उसकी सेनाओं की गिनती हो सकती? और कौन है जिस पर उसका प्रकाश नहीं पड़ता?
3 Is there any number of his armies? and upon whom doth not his light arise?
4 फिर मनुष्य ईश्वर की दृष्टि में धमीं क्योंकर ठहर सकता है? और जो स्त्री से उत्पन्न हुआ है वह क्योंकर निर्मल हो सकता है?
4 How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?
5 देख, उसकी दृष्टि में चन्द्रमा भी अन्धेरा ठहरता, और तारे भी निर्मल नहीं ठहरते।
5 Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, the stars are not pure in his sight.
6 फिर मनुष्य की क्या गिनती जो कीड़ा है, और आदमी कहां रहा जो केंचुआ है!
6 How much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man, which is a worm?
