बरह्मणाग्निः संविदानो रक्षोहा बाधतामितः |

English:- . MAY Agni, yielding to our prayer, the Rakṣas-slayer, drive away

English:- Agni, concurring in the prayer, drive off the eater of the flesh,

यस्ते हन्ति पतयन्तं निषत्स्नुं यः सरीस्र्पम |
जातंयस्ते जिघांसति तमितो नाशयामसि
English:- That which destroys the sinking germ, the settled, moving embryo,
That which will kill the babe at birth,-even this will we drive far away.

यस्त ऊरू विहरत्यन्तरा दम्पती शये |
योनिं योन्तरारेळि तमितो नाशयामसि
English:- That which divides thy legs that it may lie between the married pair,
That penetrates and licks thy side,-even this will we exterminate.

यस्त्वा भराता पतिर्भूत्वा जारो भूत्वा निपद्यते |
परजां यस्ते जिघांसति तमितो नाशयामसि
English:- What rests by thee in borrowed form of brother, lover, or of lord,
And would destroy thy Progeny,-even this will we exterminate.
