1 फिर यहोवा का यह वचन मेरे पास पहुंचा।
1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
2 हे मनुष्य के सन्तान अपना मुख इस्राएल के पहाड़ों की ओर कर के उनके विरुद्ध भविष्यद्वाणी कर,
2 Son of man, set thy face toward the mountains of Israel, and prophesy against them,
3 और कह, हे इस्राएल के पहाड़ो, प्रभु यहोवा का वचन सुनो! प्रभु यहोवा पहाड़ों और पहाडिय़ों से, और नालों और तराइयों से यों कहता है, देखो, मैं तुम पर तलवार चलवाऊंगा, और तुम्हारे पूजा के ऊंचे स्थानों को नाश करूंगा।
3 And say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD; Thus saith the Lord GOD to the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys; Behold, I, even I, will bring a sword upon you, and I will destroy your high places.
4 तुम्हारी वेदियां उजड़ेंगी और तुम्हारी सूर्य की प्रतिमाएं तोड़ी जाएंगी; और मैं तुम में से मारे हुओं को तुम्हारी मूरतों के आगे फेंक दूंगा।
4 And your altars shall be desolate, and your images shall be broken: and I will cast down your slain men before your idols.
5 मैं इस्राएलियों की लोथों को उनकी मूरतों के साम्हने रखूंगा, और उनकी हड्डियों को तुम्हारी वेदियों के आस पास छितरा दूंगां
5 And I will lay the dead carcases of the children of Israel before their idols; and I will scatter your bones round about your altars.
6 तुम्हारे जितने बसाए हुए नगर हैं, वे सब ऐसे उजड़ जाएंगे, कि तुम्हारे पूजा के ऊंचे स्थान भी उजाड़ हो जाएंगे, तुम्हारी वेदियां उजड़ेंगी और ढाई जाएंगी, तुम्हारी मूरतें जाती रहेंगी और तुम्हारी सूर्य की प्रतिमाएं काटी जाएंगी; और तुम्हारी सारी कारीगरी मिटाई जाएगी।
6 In all your dwellingplaces the cities shall be laid waste, and the high places shall be desolate; that your altars may be laid waste and made desolate, and your idols may be broken and cease, and your images may be cut down, and your works may be abolished.
7 और तुम्हारे बीच मारे हुए गिरेंगे, और तुम जान लोगे कि मैं यहोवा हूँ।
7 And the slain shall fall in the midst of you, and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
8 तौभी मैं कितनों को बचा रखूंगा। सो जब तुम देश देश में तितर-बितर होगे, तब अन्यजातियों के बीच तुम्हारे कुछ लोग तलवार से बच जाएंगे।
8 Yet will I leave a remnant, that ye may have some that shall escape the sword among the nations, when ye shall be scattered through the countries.
9 और वे बचे हुए लोग, उन जातियों के बीच, जिन में वे बंधुए हो कर जाएंगे, मुझे स्मरण करेंगे; और यह भी कि हमारा व्यभिचारी हृदय यहोवा से कैसे हट गया है और व्यभिचारिणी की सी हमारी आंखें मूरतों पर कैसी लगी हैं जिस से यहोवा का मन टूटा है। इस रीति से उन बुराइयों के कारण, जो उन्होंने अपने सारे घिनौने काम कर के की हैं, वे अपनी दृष्टि में घिनौने ठहरेंगे।
9 And they that escape of you shall remember me among the nations whither they shall be carried captives, because I am broken with their whorish heart, which hath departed from me, and with their eyes, which go a whoring after their idols: and they shall lothe themselves for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations.
10 तब वे जान लेंगे कि मैं यहोवा हूँ, और उनकी सारी हानि करने को मैं ने जो यह कहा है, उसे व्यर्थ नहीं कहा।
10 And they shall know that I am the LORD, and that I have not said in vain that I would do this evil unto them.
11 प्रभु यहोवा यों कहता है, कि अपना हाथ मार कर और अपना पांव पटक कर कह, इस्राएल के घराने के सारे घिनौने कामों पर हाय, हाय, क्योंकि वे तलवार, भूख, और मरी से नाश हो जाएंगे।
11 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Smite with thine hand, and stamp with thy foot, and say, Alas for all the evil abominations of the house of Israel! for they shall fall by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence.
12 जो दूर हो वह मरी से मरेगा, और जो निकट हो वह तलवार से मार डाला जाएगा; और जो बचकर नगर में रहते हुए घेरा जाए, वह भूख से मरेगा। इस भांति मैं अपनी जलजलाहट उन पर पूरी रीति से उतारूंगा।
12 He that is far off shall die of the pestilence; and he that is near shall fall by the sword; and he that remaineth and is besieged shall die by the famine: thus will I accomplish my fury upon them.
13 और जब हर एक ऊंची पहाड़ी और पहाड़ों की हर एक चोटी पर, और हर एक हरे पेड़ के नीचे, और हर एक घने बांजवृक्ष की छाया में, जहां जहां वे अपनी सब मूरतों को सुखदायक सुगन्ध द्रव्य चढ़ाते हैं, वहां उनके मारे हुए लोग अपनी वेदियों के आस पास अपनी मूरतों के बीच में पड़े रहेंगे; तब तुम लोग जान लोगे कि मैं यहोवा हूँ।
13 Then shall ye know that I am the LORD, when their slain men shall be among their idols round about their altars, upon every high hill, in all the tops of the mountains, and under every green tree, and under every thick oak, the place where they did offer sweet savour to all their idols.
14 मैं अपना हाथ उनके विरुद्ध बढ़ाकर उस देश को सारे घरों समेत जंगल से ले दिबला की ओर तक उजाड़ ही उजाड़ कर दूंगा। तब वे जान लेंगे कि मैं यहोवा हूँ।
14 So will I stretch out my hand upon them, and make the land desolate, yea, more desolate than the wilderness toward Diblath, in all their habitations: and they shall know that I am the LORD.
