Quran Surah 89 - Al-Fajr (The Daybreak)

Ayat 1 - I CALL TO witness the dawn
Ayat 2 - And the Ten Nights,
Ayat 3 - The multiple and the one,
Ayat 4 - The night as it advances,
Ayat 5 - Is there not an evidence in this for those who have sense?
Ayat 6 - Have you not seen what your Lord did to the ´Ad
Ayat 7 - Of Eram with lofty pillars (erected as signposts in the desert),
Ayat 8 - The like of whom were never created in the realm;
Ayat 9 - And with Thamud who carved rocks in the valley;
Ayat 10 - And the mighty Pharaoh
Ayat 11 - Who terrorised the region,
Ayat 12 - And multiplied corruption.
Ayat 13 - So your Lord poured a scourge of punishment over them.
Ayat 14 - Your Lord is certainly in wait.
Ayat 15 - As for man, whenever his Lord tries him and then is gracious and provides good things for him, he says: "My Lord has been gracious to me."
Ayat 16 - But when He tries him by restraining his means, he says: "My Lord despises me."
Ayat 17 - No. In fact you are not generous to the orphans,
Ayat 18 - Nor do you urge one another to feed the poor,
Ayat 19 - And you devour (others´) inheritance greedily,
Ayat 20 - And love wealth with all your heart.
Ayat 21 - Surely when We pound the earth to powder grounded, pounded to dust,
Ayat 22 - And comes your Lord, and angels row on row,
Ayat 23 - And Hell is brought near, that day will man remember, but of what avail will then remembering be?
Ayat 24 - He will say: "Alas the woe! Would that I had sent ahead something in my life."
Ayat 25 - None can punish as He will punish on that day,
Ayat 26 - And none can bind as He will bind.
Ayat 27 - O you tranquil soul,
Ayat 28 - Return to your Lord, well-pleased and well-pleasing Him.
Ayat 29 - "Enter then among My votaries,
Ayat 30 - Enter then My garden."
