Quran Surah 92 - Al-Lail (The Night)
Ayat 1 - I CALL THE night to witness when it covers
over,
Ayat 2 - And the day when it shines in all its glory,
Ayat 3 - And Him who created the male and female,
Ayat 4 - That your endeavour is for different ends.
Ayat 5 - Yet he who gives to others and has fear,
Ayat 6 - And affirms goodness,
Ayat 7 - We shall ease the way of fortune for him.
Ayat 8 - But he who does not give and is unconcerned,
Ayat 9 - And rejects goodness,
Ayat 10 - For him We shall ease the way of adversity,
Ayat 11 - And his riches will not avail him when he
falls headlong (into the Abyss).
Ayat 12 - It is indeed for Us to show the way,
Ayat 13 - And to Us belong the End and the Beginning.
Ayat 14 - So, I warn you of the blazing Fire.
Ayat 15 - No one will burn in it but the most
wretched,
Ayat 16 - Who denied (the truth) and turned away.
Ayat 17 - But save him who fears
Ayat 18 - And gives of his wealth that he may grow in
virtue,
Ayat 19 - And is under no one´s obligation to return
his favour,
Ayat 20 - Other than seeking the glory of his Lord,
most high,
Ayat 21 - Will surely be gratified.
