ओ३म् विभ्राड् बृहत्पिबतु सोम्यं मध्वायुर्दधद्यज्ञपतावविह्रुतम्।
वातजूतो यो अभिरक्षति त्मना प्रजा पिपर्ति बहुधा वि राजति॥१४५३
वातजूतो यो अभिरक्षति त्मना प्रजा पिपर्ति बहुधा वि राजति॥१४५३
English:- May the mighty refulgent sun hold, shower, protect and promote the honey sweets of life's soma nourishment, and bear and bring untainted health and long life for the performer and promoter of yajna, the sun which, energised by Vayu energy of divine nature protects and sustains all forms of life by its very essence, shines and rules life in many ways. (Rigved 10-170-1)
ओ३म् विभ्राड् बृहत्सुभृतं वाजसातमं धर्मं दिवो धरुणे सत्यमर्पितम्।
अमित्रहा वृत्रहा दस्युहन्तमं ज्योतिर्जज्ञे असुरहा सपत्नहा॥१४५४
अमित्रहा वृत्रहा दस्युहन्तमं ज्योतिर्जज्ञे असुरहा सपत्नहा॥१४५४
English:- The mighty refulgent sun, destroyer of unfriendly forces, darkness and evil, anti-life elements, adversaries and enemies, rises, bearing the light that is the highest giver of food, energy and growing advancement. Truly vested in the established order of nature in the solar region, blissfully sustained, it is the highest killer of negative and destructive forces prevailing in life and nature. (Rigved 10-170-2)
ओ३म् इद श्रेष्ठं ज्योतिषां ज्योतिरुत्तमं विश्वजिद्धनजिदुच्यते बृहत्।
विश्वभ्राड् भ्राजो महि सूर्यो दृश उरु पप्रथे सह ओजो अच्युतम्॥१४५५
विश्वभ्राड् भ्राजो महि सूर्यो दृश उरु पप्रथे सह ओजो अच्युतम्॥१४५५
English:- This mighty best and highest light of lights is exalted as universally pervasive winner and giver of wealth. This world illuminant light, great sun, is the light for the world's vision. It expands far and wide, undaunted lustre and majesty that it is, imperishable and eternal. (Rigved10-170-3)
ओ३म् इन्द्र क्रतुं न आ भर पिता पुत्रेभ्यो यथा।
शिक्षा णो अस्मिन्पुरुहूत यामनि जीवा ज्योतिरशीमहि॥१४५६
शिक्षा णो अस्मिन्पुरुहूत यामनि जीवा ज्योतिरशीमहि॥१४५६
English:- Bring us the divine vision, will and intelligence as father does for his children. O lord universally invoked and worshipped, instruct us as a teacher at this present time so that we, ordinary souls, may have the new light of life and living experience of Divinity. (Rigved 7-32-26)
ओ३म् मा नो अज्ञाता वृजना दुराध्यो३माशिवासोऽव क्रमुः।
त्वया वयं प्रवत शश्वतीरपोऽति शूर तरामसि॥१४५७
त्वया वयं प्रवत शश्वतीरपोऽति शूर तरामसि॥१४५७
English:- O lord almighty beyond fear, let not the ignorant and unknown, crooked intriguers, evil designers, and malevolent opponents in ambush attack us on way to you. May we, guided, directed and protected by you, cross the universal streams of life rushing down the slopes of time. (Rigved 7-32-27)
ओ३म् अद्याद्या श्वश्व इन्द्र त्रास्व परे च नः।
विश्वा च नो जरितॄन्त्सत्पते अहा दिवा नक्तं च रक्षिषः॥१४५८
विश्वा च नो जरितॄन्त्सत्पते अहा दिवा नक्तं च रक्षिषः॥१४५८
English:- Day by day every today, day by day every tomorrow and beyond, lord saviour and protector of the good and true, Indra, save and protect us, your celebrants and supplicants, all days, day and night. (Rigved 8-61-17)
ओ३म् प्रभङ्गी शूरो मघवा तुवीमघ सम्मिश्लो वीर्याय कम्।
उभा ते बाहू वृषणा शतक्रतो नि या वज्रं मिमिक्षतु॥१४५९
उभा ते बाहू वृषणा शतक्रतो नि या वज्रं मिमिक्षतु॥१४५९
English:- A crushing warrior, commanding magnificence, power and universal riches, self-sufficient, virile, joiner of all with karmic destiny, O lord of infinite good actions, both your arms are abundantly generous and hold the thunderbolt of justice, reward and punishment both as deserved. (Rigved 8-61-18)
