ओ३म् विश्वेभिरग्ने अग्निभिरिमं यज्ञमिदं वच।
चनो घाः सहसा यहो॥१६१७
चनो घाः सहसा यहो॥१६१७
English:- Agni, lord of knowledge, mighty of strength and power, kind and gracious, with all these forms of heat and energy, take on this yajnic programme of ours, fructify our words of prayer, and bless us with the delight of well-being. (Rigved 1-26-10)
ओ३म् यच्चिद्धि शश्वता तना देवंदेवं यजामहे।
त्वे इद्धूयते हवि॥१६१८
त्वे इद्धूयते हवि॥१६१८
English:- By whichever eternal and extended holy powers of cosmic yajna were the brilliant and generous powers of nature created, to the same divine powers we offer yajna, to one and all. And to the same powers is the holy material of yajna offered for all time. (Rigved 1-26-6)
ओ३म् प्रियो नो अस्तु विश्पतिर्होता मन्द्रो वरेण्यः।
प्रिया स्वग्नयो वयम्॥१६१९
प्रिया स्वग्नयो वयम्॥१६१९
English:- May the happy, charming and venerable ruler of the people, worthy of choice, be dear to us. May the venerable people who offer yajna in honour of Agni, eternal lord of cosmic yajna, and the leader of the people, be dear to us. (Rigved 1-26-7)
ओ३म् इन्द्रं वो विश्वतस्परि हवामहे जनेभ्यः।
अस्माकमस्तु केवलः ॥१६२०

English:- For the sake of you all of humanity, we invoke and worship Indra, the one lord ruler over the universe, and we pray He may be with us in vision in a state of absolute bliss. (Rigved 1-7-10)
ओ३म् स नो वृषन्नमुं चरु सत्रादावन्नपा वृधि।
अस्मभ्यमप्रतिष्कुतः॥१६२१
अस्मभ्यमप्रतिष्कुतः॥१६२१
English:- Indra, lord of the universe, light of the world, generous lord of wealth, irresistible wielder of power, generous giver of showers, grant us the yajnic prosperity of life and open the doors of freedom and salvation at the end. (Rigved 1-7-6)
ओ३म् बृषा यूथेव वसगः कृष्टीरियर्त्योजसा।
ईशानो अप्रतिष्कुतः॥१६२२
ईशानो अप्रतिष्कुतः॥१६२२
English:- As the virile bull leads the herd it rules, so does Indra, generous lord indomitable and ruler of the world, inspire and lead His children to joy and freedom. (Rigved 1-7-8)
ओ३म् त्वं नश्चित्र ऊत्या वसो राधासि चोदय।
अस्य रायस्त्वमग्ने रथीरसि विदा गाधं तुचे तु न॥१६२३
अस्य रायस्त्वमग्ने रथीरसि विदा गाधं तुचे तु न॥१६२३
English:- Agni, wonderful lord of versatile action, giver of shelter and security of the home, with protection and advancement, inspire and raise our means and materials for success and achievement. O lord of knowledge and vision, you are the guide and pilot of the chariot and wealth and honours of this generation. Give us the message and inspiration of peace, progress and security for our children. (Rigved 6-48-9)
ओ३म् पर्षि तोकं तनयं पर्तृभिष्ट्वमदब्धैरप्रयुत्वभिः।
अग्ने हेडासि दैव्या युयोधि नोऽदेवानि हरासि च॥१६२४
अग्ने हेडासि दैव्या युयोधि नोऽदेवानि हरासि च॥१६२४
English:- Agni, lord of light and culture, you cleanse, refine and enrich our children and teenagers with all nourishments and safeguards for body, mind and soul with unfailing and unchallengeable modes and methods of education and refinement. Resist and overcome the passions and negativities which attract natural wrath and fight out impious temptations from us.(Rigved6-48-10)
ओ३म् किमित्ते विष्णो परिचक्षि नाम प्र यद्ववक्षे शिपिविष्टो अस्मि।
मा वर्पो अस्मदप गूह एतद्यदन्यरूपः समिथे बभूथ॥१६२५
मा वर्पो अस्मदप गूह एतद्यदन्यरूपः समिथे बभूथ॥१६२५
English:- Vishnu, can that manifestive form of your presence be described or ignored? You yourself reveal in the Veda that you are self - refulgent. Pray do not hide off that form of yours from me, nor the other one which manifests in the divine wrath and punishment in the existential battle between good and evil. (Rigved 7-100-6)
ओ३म् प्र तत्ते अद्य शिपिविष्ट हव्यमर्य शसामि वयुनानि विद्वान्।
तं त्वा गृणामि तवसमतव्यान्क्षयन्तमस्य रजसः पराके॥१६२६
तं त्वा गृणामि तवसमतव्यान्क्षयन्तमस्य रजसः पराके॥१६२६
English:- O lord self-refulgent, you that have made this wide world, I adore today, celebrate and glorify your name: You are the master, lord omniscient of the ways and laws of existence. You are the mighty power, all pervasive far and wide in the moving world, and you are transcendent even beyond. (Rigved 7-100-5)
ओ३म् वषट् ते विष्णवास आ कृणोमि तन्मे जुषस्व शिपिविष्ट हव्यम्।
वर्धन्तु त्वा सुष्टुतयो गिरि मे यूयं पात स्वस्तभि सदा नः॥१६२७
वर्धन्तु त्वा सुष्टुतयो गिरि मे यूयं पात स्वस्तभि सदा नः॥१६२७
English:- Vishnu, lord omnipresent, I do honour to your presence in song and offer it to you as homage in words. O lord of universal light of life, pray accept this offer of homage. May my words of celebration exalt your presence in manifestation. O lord, O divinities of nature and humanity, pray protect and promote us with all means and modes of peace, prosperity and all round well being all ways all time. (Rigved 7-100-7)
