सुरूपक्र्त्नुमूतये सुदुघामिव गोदुहे |
जुहूमसि दयवि-दयवि

English:- As a good cow to him who milks, we call the doer of fair deeds,

English:- Come thou to our libations, drink of Soma; Soma-drinker thou!

अथा ते अन्तमानां विद्याम सुमतीनाम |
मा नो अति खय आगहि
English:- So may we be acquainted with thine innermost benevolence:

परेहि विग्रमस्त्र्तमिन्द्रं पर्छा विपश्चितम |
यस्ते सखिभ्य आ वरम
English:- Go to the wise unconquered One, ask thou of Indra, skilled in song,

उत बरुवन्तु नो निदो निरन्यतश्चिदारत |
दधाना इन्द्र इद दुवः
English:- Whether the men who mock us say, Depart unto another place,
Ye who serve Indra and none else;

उत नः सुभगानरिर्वोचेयुर्दस्म कर्ष्टयः |
सयामेदिन्द्रस्य शर्मणि
English:- Or whether, God of wondrous deeds, all our true people call us blest,
Still may we dwell in Indra's care.

एमाशुमाशवे भर यज्ञश्रियं नर्मादनम |
पतयन मन्दयत्सखम
English:- Unto the swift One bring the swift, man-cheering, grace of sacrifice,
That to the Friend gives wings and joy.

अस्य पीत्वा शतक्रतो घनो वर्त्राणामभवः |
परावो वाजेषु वाजिनम
English:- Thou, Śatakratu, drankest this and wast the Vṛtras' slayer; thou

धनानामिन्द्र सातये
English:- We strengthen, Śatakratu, thee, yea, thee the powerful in fight,

तस्मा इन्द्राय गायत
English:- To him the mighty stream of wealth, prompt friend of him who pours the juice,
