Ramakien is the Thai version of Indian epic Ramayan, a story of triumph of good over evil. Rakamien means The Glory of Ram is Thailand's National Epic. A number of versions were spoiled and destructed after the destruction of Ayutthaya. The work still has a large level of influence over the people in terms of art, drama and culture. The base story is same as the Indian Ramayan, however costumes, weapons, topography were described in Thai style.
